“We bought three years ago two double sliders for the upstairs bedrooms. We wanted a good sound insulating windows because of the main road behind the house -Highland Rd, in Kitchener. We were sold on triple glazed, double sliding windows and the “owner special deal”. Big mistake. The windows never worked right from the beginning on, more noise came thru vs. the old windows! And nobody cared to come and fixed it. The company is not longer around!
This time around we did our homework, you bet, and we had some companies quoting the windows again! We decided to choose RD Sales – for a few reasons:
– Robert was the only one recommending the European tilt and turn window, triple glazed of course, to address our needs. He spent time with us showing the differences between the windows, he had different cross sections and explained us lots of technical details and we were able to make our decision based on facts not emotional. He explained the installation details, the material used for installation-(like German Wurth foam), how the windows will be fastening into the studs, and what kind of screws are used, etc. I can tell you, Robert is very passionate about good quality windows and doors and he knows his stuff very well.
We also checked out literally some of his referrals, where these types of windows were installed and his customers are very happy. As an advice, go check out some of the pictures in the photo gallery to make sure the guys are showing you their own work not some pictures downloaded from other websites!
The windows were installed on time, very nice crew, organized, clean & respectful. They showed us again how to operate and maintain the windows. The windows fitted our budget as well and I can tell you these windows made a big difference! I am very happy with the company I have chosen this time and we learned our lesson the hard way.
